After a period of head scratching and waiting in vain for things to resolve themselves I applied Occam’s razor to the rat king and decided to treat everything but the upgrade to Lion as a Gordian knot. The Alexandrian sword I used was to update my iPhone to IOS5 beta, update iTunes and Xcode, all at once. Then I recompiled and tested all my Apps on the devices still on IOS 4. Having not upgraded to Lion, I still had the option of reversing everything from the still working Western Digital backup drive should things have gone awry although this would have left the iPhone un-Synch-able.
As it was everything worked fine, and was able to use the new features of this release of Xcode to speed up the running of the Apps a bit. Still testing but new versions of all will be out soon. I have also resumed testing on Lifemodel after upgrading to the new Xcode version and release shouldn’t be too far off.
